On 23-24 May 2013 UNESCO Almaty, in collaboration with the Kloop Media Foundation is conducting a training for trainers on UNESCO resources for the development of community multimedia centers (CMCs) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The training has been organized within the joint European Union - United Nations programme “Operationalizing Good Governance for Social Justice in Kyrgyzstan.“

It will develop a network of community multimedia centers in rural Kyrgyzstan villages, enhancing the communication needs of local communities.

During the workshop five potential mobile CMCs in the rural municipalities of Batken, Jalal-Abad, Osh, Naryn and Issyk-Kul oblasts will be identified. UNESCO is assisting trainers to develop key messages and identify goals for a series of upcoming trainings on "Sustainability of CMCs" and "Youth and Migration". The training will lead to the creation of multimedia materials by local communities, leading to greater citizen participation and improved governance.
